Corner Tank

has anyone seen nice corner tanks for sale in the area?

Or if you can direct me to some online?

I currently have a 54G corner bow front tank that I've used for over 2yrs, and it's time to upgrade.

I have about 4ft from the corner on each side, so there's plenty of room, I know 90% of tanks out there are traditional rectangular ones, but a corner tank looks best in this room..

I'd like to get one that has a canopy and is reef ready.

Any help pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated

Aquarium Adventure in Schaumburg has them, but I'm sure they are priced sky high. There is also a small pet shop in Naperville called the Dog Patch that had one the last time I was in the store.

good canopies don't really exist for corners, unless the plastic open top one from AGA/Oceanic fits the bill. i have been looking for a good canopy for my 92 corner for quite a while. A 92 corner should fit in your space but you will want to leave some room on the back/sides for future equipment upgrades.

I saw the 92... and was interested in it... do they make a canopy for it?

from what I've read, I may have to go acrylic ... something like a Tenecor pentagon tank looks interesting.. about $1,600 for a 120 gallon with stand and canopy

Eddies in La Salle,Il has a big pre-owned tank.Not sure what size.815-223-0043 is Eddies 5-sided tank>wish I had room for it.John

they make a plastic canopy for the 92 but it is open and not a true canopy. BRI Aquatic makes a very nice wood canopy but they run about $3,000. Some people have bought a second stand and just flipped it over and used it as a canopy.

I have the 92 gallon Oceanic Canopy and added a plywood board to it and that's where the lights are mounted. Be sure to coat the plywood with Marine Varnish.

Sorry for the crappy photo's, but this is all I have of the top.
