Cost savings HQI vs LED

Ok just did cost comparison on metal halide vs LED. For amp use on a 150 watt halide is 1.6amps @ 120v . Now for a meanwell led driver pulls 1.2amp @ 120v. So go through all the trouble of led for .4 amp? So is it actually worth all the trouble of changing over and leave what is tried and true?

you also have to factor in the heat of the HQI bulb and the affect it does to the tank and cooling it, and the bulb replacement. in theory the leds are supposed to last 10 years , but they havent been around that long to make that a fact.

Does anyone have PAR reading on LEDs vs HQI? I would like to change to led but can't really find hard facts on par reading one vs the the other.

I had my leds par readings done on my 180 in the top quater my readings were above 450 if i remember right and over a 1000 just under the lights (not underwater) at the sand bed it was 120-130.
