Couple of newbie questions

OK, here is a pic of our new tank. We were convinced to add rock and some damsels together since we didn't have enough rock. So, that's what we did. Anyway, the questions are 1) my husband has to keep sucking the air out of the overflow. here is a pic of the tube. The bubble is below the nipple.

Also, he wants to know if it's a good idea to put a reflective backing on there. I say no because it'll scare the fish.

Here is the tank pic.

I hope I did this right.

Thanks all!

Second question first, the reflective backing won't scare the fish, besides coralline will cover up the back pain soon and it won't be visable anyhow.

As for the bubble thats the nature of external overflows.

Thanks. So it's pretty useless to put any type of backing huh? And as for the tube, you're saying he's just going to have to keep sucking that thing everyday? Does it look set up right?

CPR overflow=BIGGEST PIECE OF @#$%% EVER! IMHO. Always fail, lifereef overflows 1000% better. just my $0.02 cents

Gee, now you tell me...lol...Well, I guess as we get going, we'll eventually upgrade or change it. Other than that, everything else looks ok?

why? we got 4 going right now and have not had a problem yet

Your heater should be placed in a better spot, try diagonally and centered in the tank with alot of current passing by it.

BTW, have been made aware of the local club in Orlando?
