cover to protect my clam from the fish

I know I saw somewhere that there are plastic covers to put over the clam to protect it, but I can't remember where I saw it. Does anyone know. My fish are picking at my clam and I made a plastice crate cage for it, but it looks bad. It has worked real good, but looks bad. I would appreciate it if someone could tell me where to order those. Thanks

The cover is not a permanent solution.

Either remove the clam, or remove the fish. You can't possibly expect to keep a cover on the clam for it's entire life in your system.

I was not going to keep it on the clam for its entire life. There is only 1 salt water fish store here and it is about to go under like all the rest and their tanks look terrible with everything dying. Would you suggest I give it back to them for sure death.

Hey Sendie, definitely don't give it to the LFS if they're how you described they are.

Any local established Reefers in your area?

There is a live stock buying and selling forum on this board, perhaps if you put an ad up you can sell it.

What type of clam is it?
What type of fish is/are picking at it?

I'm not giving up on the store. I still buy food and I bought the clam there. It is a deresa(sp). It is beautiful and doing so good now. The fish that were picking on it was a purple tang, lipstick tang, and yellow eyed tang. I really don't want to give any of them up. I have had my tangs for 3 years and my clam for about 5 months now. I have 125 gal reef and it is so nice (not that I haven't been through all bad stuff people complain about), but I am determined to keep my tank perfect which is sometimes hard.
