Crabs camping out by my staghorn????

I recently noticed my red legged hermits camping at the base of my staghorns. I pulled them away and checked the base of each coral and could not see any damage. Does anyone have any insight on what they are doing?

Maybe they are molting. Never seen any damages made by my hermits, so i don´t bother them.

This guy is always hanging out in my pearlberry. He comes back at least every other day and hangs out on the coral for at least 12 hours. The PB doesnt seem to mind either.

some of my hermits hang out in my staghorns too. I think they like being there or feel safe or something...

thats natural hermit behavior.


hermits are nocturnal and sleep in tight groupings.
