Crabs or Shrimp Eating Acan Lord Polyps

RC Folks,

Over the past month I have put three colonies of Acan Lords in my reef. There is something eating some of the polyps. I have netted out Peppermint Shrimp and hermit crabs since they appear to be on these colonies beyond casual cleaning. I don’t think the Peppermints are Camelbacks. Has anyone had similar issues? I probably have 40 other colonies in my reef and nothing else seems impacted. I would appreciate any suggestions you may have.

Yes, I've had a peppermint tear up acan colonies before.

Also (not to doubt you), acans can be susceptible to recession and/or poly bailout for many reasons. Ensure that you actually have something damaging them, not another reason.
