Crocea and Maxima clam growth???

Normally, how big do crocea and maxima clams grow in home aquaria? Also what is considered an average growth over a year; 1", 2", 3"???

What about squammys and descera (sp?)?

I'm planning to get a few more clams but just want to be sure I have room for them in my 90G reef first.

Most figures are anectdotal-I have an article from Aquaculture journal showing that under ideal conditions in the wild Derasa grow ~5 cm per year until they are 8+" then less. Similarly squamosa ~3cm per year until 8+" then ~1cm per year. Gigas grow the fastest and largest up to 12cm per year then taper off to ~9cm per year after 7+".
Aquarium conditions definately will be less. Maximas maybe 2cm per year when they're small. Croceas are very slow growers maybe 1cm per year.
Hope this helps-Adam

So do these clams (maximas and croceas) just continue to grow and grow? Or do they stop growing after reaching a certain point? I am more interested in keeping these two that's why I asked. Thanks for your help thus far. :)

Maximas will grow up to about 8" in an aquarium. I'm sure they'll grow larger but I haven't heard of anyone keeping them that long or larger. Croceas grow slowly.
The others will get large and potentially outgrow a small tank under the right conditions. Adam
