Not sure if this question has been asked, but I've searched like crazy and can't find anyone mention this...
My Crocea has been in my tank for about 3 months and is growing great. It's about 12 inches from the surface but is on the slope of a rock so it's not parallel to the lights and the clam continues to lower and rotate itself. My lights are 4 HO T-5's and the color of the clam looks great from above, but if you look at it from the side, it's starting to look lighter and lighter. Is this a sign of bleaching? Could this be from the Zoo's it's crowding? Can I remove it from the rock so I can relocate it? How should I try without damaging it?
BTW Tank is 65G 36*18*24, 75lbs LR, 3in DSB, Ammonia 0, Nitrites 0, Nitrates just a trace, Calcium 400, Alk 4.5, SG 1.025... And I have 3 other clams (Derasa, Hippo and Squamosa) on the sand bed and are growing and looking just fine...
Thanks!
