the most common one is red cyano. Normally called red slime.
Its red or dark maroon usually starting in your sand bed and almost looks like a piece of velvet. Are you having probs or thinking you may have it? Its common in newly set up tanks. To rid it you can limit the amount of feedings and try to direct more flow across your sandbed. I could not find any pics of it so I described it as best I could
