DC8 and HQI ballast

I am going to run a 400W PFO HQI ballast on the DC8. Is the current going to be too high when the bulb fires up? Anyone tried this combination? I know the max current per outlet is 6amp. It is cutting close.

If the current draw is less than 6 Amps, it will be OK. The actual measurements I've seen on a few HQI ballasts indicate that the current is about 5.5 Amps.
