Dear god! Help with Vermetids (tube snails)

What harm do they cause? I have hundreds and they don't seem to bother anything......

They dont really cause any harm really other than being unsightly when they reach high populations like in my tank. But they do cause harm when they start to grow in your plumbing. I have heard of cases where they have cause filters to slow down and even shut down.

Superglue could work but would take even longer and im sure the stuff living on my liverock would die durring the time it would take to glue them all and then wait for it to dry properly. If you are taking the live rock out of the tank i think it would be better to pick them off no?
As it is right now im thinking of filling the container i use for water changes with saltwater and taking the live rock 1 by 1, putitng it in there as i break them all off and maybe whatever causes them to still reproduce when i break them off in the tank will stay in that container.
Still i wish there was something that i could just stick in my tank that would eat the little buggers naturally.

They are very annoying. I have quite a few in my tank. They even grow on my prefilter sponges in the overflow. They seem to get everywhere, and I have cut myself on them a few times trying to pick up my rock.

Superglue - I had never thought of that. I would imagine that would only work if you have several of these though...
I doubt the quantity makes any difference. One can be sealed as well as 10 can. I plan to give it a go when I get home later.

RoTTen2TheCore posted that glued rocks would need to be left out of the water until the glue dries and that isn't true, superglue cures in saltwater no problem.

my porcelen crab (typo) eats them is this normal and has anyone heared of that before? my crab looked like it was buffet time.

Hah - this is great! All the while, I was waiting for these things to pop a corona out the end... I got live rock with these all over it. I was ****ed a few weeks back when one of my hermits ate one of them.... This reminds me of the guy who target-fed his aiptasia. I'm sticking around for more advice....

My juvenile long horned cow fish loves them, it's like heroin or crack he just hovers there and sucks them right out of the tube, then seems kinda dazed and confused for awhile.

horned cow eh? anyone else see this? i have a porcelain crab but ive never seen him eat anything including my tube snails, just filter feeds all day from his spot in my coral.

And good to know superglue cures fine in saltwater, still what can i say? i like to smash :P
seems tedious to me to dab glue into each tiny spike
