Deltec MCE600 - blowing fine bubbles into tank?

Hi,

I am setting up a Fish/Invert tank has been running a couple of days. The skimmer; a Deltec MCE600 does it's job well, but is adding very fine bubbles to the main tank. I have tried adjusting the air in take to reduce the amount of air flow into the Deltec, but this then reduces the skimming ability.

A few questions then:

1 - How can I stop all those tiny bubbles in the tank?

2 - What is the best setting for the Deltec MCE600, when do I know it is running at its best?

3 - It has been frothing quite a bit, hence the need to turn it down for that too. Does this extreme frothing stop as the tank matures?

Many thanks for your help everyone.

Stu

First off welcome to the Deltec family!:D

The micro buble issue can be solved in a couple of different ways. I HIGHLY suggest that you go to the Deltec forum (in the sponser forums) and take a look at the threads there abot this same issue some people have had. Doug ( the owner of deltec USA) is a great guy and is great for technical help.

PM me if you want some more info.
Chris
