Derasa and Crocea placement

We have a Derasa and a Crocea clam that were both happily sitting on our sandbed but the last few days they've been moving a lot, turning on their sides or buring themselves in the sandbed. Originally the Crocea was on rockwork in my other tank before moving it to the 300 and it was..well, happy as a clam...so we tried moving them to the rockwork in our tank...not much improvement.

Where is the best placement for these species?

2x400MH, 2x250MH, 2x170VHO white actinic, 2x170VHO blue actinic

ok you should be able to keep the Derasa on the sand bed and the Crocea in the rocks.i don't know what the k rating of the lights are.the clams are moving around just because they have had a change from being moved when you find a spot where they don't move around just leave them put,clams have a way of finding there own place

the K raiting on all the MH's is about 14K i believe. The only one that was in different tank was the crocea. I had it in my 45hex, and actually, under only 1X175W MH. It was on the rocks in that tank, but I had figured it'd like it better in the sand....
is there a particular K they prefer?

6500k to 10k
