Derasa clam pic

Here a picture of my first clam a Derasa that thought I'd share. I bought it three days ago and it's about 2 1/2 inches long.

I was told the derasa grows the fastest. Have you noticed growth since you've had them?

How often do you feed and how much? I have frozen cyclopeeze and golden pearls, can I use both?

The Derasa's in my tank have grown a lot. Surprises me how much and how fast too.

I will have to monitor at which rate my calcium depletes now that I have introduced the clam. I drip kalk 24/7.

I really don't know how often you need to feed, I have not seen directions on such, seems most dose every 2 or 3 days at 1/2 dose for about a month, and then slowly ramp up to full. Maybe some one else can provide better input.

I do know, even at the low dose I run now, every think is very open and happy since I started!

Mine grew pretty fast; I just gave it away because it was too big for my tank. You don't have to feed them. Should be getting a new tiger stripe tomorow!

They just have different patterns. However, IMO yours looks better. I'm going to get one like that today hopefully. Yours will probably darken up or become more vivid once it gets a little older.
