Hi John, very sorry about your angel :(
Sure was a beauty...

May I ask why you have the SPS on the sandbed?

My two lil angels..:( {The pic is actually an optical illusion, as the Golden arrived almost twice the size of my Brazilian}

Best Pics so far...my Golden Pygmy is a bit camera shy, yet so far I'm greatly pleased as he's less timid than most and actually picking on mysis.

Ahhh man!!! Sorry about your loss. If you don't mind me asking, how did it get the glue -- were you gluing frags in the tank or something? Are you going to replace it with another?
Mariner

Thanks for the sympathies all.

Mariner, yes, I was glueing all the sps frags to rock. I removed the frag added the glue then placed. My girlfriend yelled at me because she saw some glue spin across the surface...I quickly got it out.

I was also putting the glue on a plastic fork and then adding it directly to the tank to try and reinforce the live rock rubble my clam is on.

I had jostled the clams' LR rubble that was wedged between two rocks while I was "planting" some sps. This was enough to completely throw off my rockwork- and no matter what I tried, I couldn't get them secure again; and after cursing at the rocks for quite some time I finally had the clam positioned again I was not about to "move" it...hence the glue/fork method....

I moved my clam a little while back to a spot higher up in front of the tank. This turned out to be THE perfect spot...the clam loved it.
The clam was perfectly secure until I "bumped" the rock. After this,
I had "battled" the rubble falling twice with the clam attached. One of the best things about Brazilian live rock is actually probably its biggest downfall...it's so light and porous it almost floats.

Lesson learned...don't be in such a rush...and shut off the flow completely.

It's really ashame because my angel was a model citizen...she even ignored my Maxima's mantle.

Tyler...thanks..

The SPS was on the bottom so it could acclimate from the dark shipping box to lights again. Mine was all cultured going from hallides to T5s so it wasn't such a big deal.

If they had been wild frags, they would have needed to stay at the bottom for a week to lesson the chance of RTNing.

I'll get more pics tonight of the "positioned" frags.

I'll also have more pics up in a few minutes.

I have been sitting here at this page non-stop ever since you promised. Now you expect me to wait even longer? Hah! I'll check back tomorrow. ;)

Very nice frags and clam. Your camera does much better with the spectrum of T5s than mine does.
