Hi, apparently I got a frag with MEN, it started to become white and that's how I found out, so I took it out and washed it in freshwater and iodine, scrapped it a bit with a toothbrush and put it back. Unfortunately the frag died.
Then about 5 days later I saw some white spots on my idaho grape monti, after 2 days the spots were bigger, so I took it out and saw the eggs, so I put it in revive and used the toothbrush until I got rid of the eggs and put it in a quarentine tank. It got heavily damaged but no sign of the nudis.
Then about 1 day later I saw the base of my Atlantis monti palawensis getting white!. Took it out and saw the eggs and the nudis, placed it in revive and was able to scrap them all out, even the eggs.
After a week of continuous inspection, I haven't seen other nudi, I should mention that all the affected montis were on the same rock, strangely I have a mystic sunset monti next to the palawensis and it was never attacked. The rest of the tank is full of mostly small colonies of rainbow monti, superman monti, etc. And they haven't been affected. I heard the nudi die of starvation in 5 days, so any adults would have been dead by now, except for eggs but I don't know how long they take to be born. Like I said its been a week and I haven't seen activity. So I placed what was left of the idaho grape monti back into the main tank, and I did that today.
Did I get rid of them?, I haven't seen them at night, is placing the idaho back in the tank risky?.
