what are the physical differences between a ric and a yuma? i picked up a 1" frag for $10 yesterday at my lfs... its got these colors but the tentacles/bubbly things on it are not as long...
That is an R. florida. The difference is that there is a ring of vesicles around the mouth of the Ricordea. The vesicles are also not branched like that of Rhodactis. R. yuma will tend to have most of a variety of sizes of vesicles while R. florida is rather uniform. Here are comparisson shots of two of them.
