Dinner time for LPS?

Concerning photosynthetic LPS (Acan, Favia, Euphyllias) and supplimental target feeding, is it necessary to do this at night when the moonlights are on and the tank lights are out? I guess I'm mainly thinking about acan & favia types as the Euphyllias pull themselves in at night. Will acans & favia extend their feeding tentacles under lights?

they will definately eat when the lights are on . you can either put a little food in the water witch should cause them to extend their feeders or you can just put the food directly on them .

Thanks. I was hoping that would work. Sure beats staying up half the night to feed!
