Dipping 'shrooms for parasites?

Doubledown

I have just re-set my 120 to house a few fish and hopefully as many color morphs of Tongan bullseye 'shrooms as I can get my hands on.

I have become accustomed to treating my new SPS corals before they are added to the display of my SPS reef with interceptor and then Tropic Marin Pro Coral Cure in a dip or bath to prevent introduction of parasites. Is there such a proceedure for mushrooms as well? What effect will TMPCC have on them?

TIA
Chris

I use a TMPCC (in saltwater) to dip my shrooms (and the rest of my corals) and I've never lost one. It's mostly just an iodine dip, so it should be harmless for short exposures of 10 - 15 minutes.

Before I started using TMPCC I freshwater dipped all my shrooms and I've never lost one of those either.

I dipped some new orange shrooms last week with tropic marin and tank water. It irritated them for a bit but got rid of the flatworms the shrooms came with.

Thank you very much. That was my primary concern, bringing parasites in. I will go ahead and dip them in the TMPCC.

Nice pic BTW!
