standard compact frogspawn structure or Euphyllia yaeyamaensis?

saw this unhealthy at a LFS had to pick it up and give it a shot. Slightly bleached and receding but otherwise well. Extending much more in my tank than in the store's tanks, and in a shady area while getting used to my T5 lamps.

Mike..I think thats a Euphyllia paradivisa or regular branching frogspawn......it may not be bleached they come in different shades and will adapt to most lighting. Don't give it too much current because it may develop long sweepers.....they are strong stingers...so give it plenty of room..... if you have any clowns they may host in it.......mine do......nice piece......good luck with it.

definetly Euphyllia yaeyamaensis. color doesn't look bad they usually come in rather pale, but it should darken in your tank.

i broke it in half already.. one piece with 2 heads and one piece with 3 heads.

the 2 headed piece will be given away later on to special peoples :)

the coralites do look like a yaeyamaenis, but I didn't think they came in a branching form ..just torch......see I learn something everyday.....anyway the fragging begins...................!

thanks anyway Mike, but I'll have to pass....I have a volleyball size frogspawn that I'm cutting down now and the male clown isn't to happy about it bitting my hand everytime it's in the tank.....little sucker has nice teeth.
