Have you tried it yet? Id be worried about the torque on that motor. Or maybe im missunderstanding their wording "this is a poorly running or downright faulty gearbox"

Looks nice though, good job.

Nice! I was gonna make one too, but I found it too hard to DIY the squeegee arm, so I just bought the Vertex Vectra Engine. Does the lid move at all without any screw clamps to hold it from twisting or moving?

I was amazed how little force is needed to clean the neck , the rubber is most likely an over kill. Im going to try a silicone squeegee from a large automotive water blade .

lid hardly moves at all just a little because misalignment of center of neck and center of lid. I thought it might have been an issue but its not at all..

Do you have it on a timer? I would think it constantly running will make the skimmer not produce. Looks like it works well though

update looks like its working great. The rubber has a slight twist to it and pushes the solid waste to the top of rubber scraper ...

The skimmer cup seems like it will go months without having to "clean" the lid however every week or so, it cleans super easy I just spray it off with sprayer from sink and hot water, nothing else required.. Love it..
