DIY MH pendant hanging kit

I got some PFO pendants from a local reefer and decided to give them a try against my Tek 6x54

So here it goes.

Aluminum H-bar from Mcmaster ($22.58)

Some J-hooks from Ace Hardware (.69/ea)

I utilized the Tek hanging kit. On the side of the bar I tapped 1/4x20 to make it look a bit more OEM looking. I still have to figure out what to do with the ballasts. Im thinking of re-wiring from the ballast to the pendant and completely eliminate the ballasts on the top.

I actually like the ballasts up top, tuck those cables up a bit more and you got a winner.

Makes all your corals look bleached the MH's are so bright.
