Ok...this will only be my second diy skimmer which is kind of ironic since I have less time on my hands now then before...
Anyways, the body will be 6"x18" and run by a OR2700. Recirc standard stuff.
My question is what diameter should the neck be? I'm thinking of using 2" or 3". I personally like the 2" better and it would make it easier for me to fit a wetneck on it as well, since the 3" would leave very little room inside the cup with wetneck attached. The neck can be anywhere up to 1ft long. I figure if I have a 2" at 1ft long, I should be able to adjust the skimmate fairly easily.
Any thoughts? 2" too skinny?
