why is DLC's sale thread stickied?

I myself was wondering that, but then I decided it was because the mods have recognized my awesomeness and will soon sticky all of my threads.

I just don't see why that thread would get stickied and every other sale thread does not.

It was a software burp. Some posts were split out of the thread and somehow the result ended up stuck at the top. There's a spot to look at that show's when a thread has been modified, and it didn't show that the thread had ever been "stickied." Hence, weird alien-influenced software burp.
