Do all maroons get a gold stipe?

I have had my maroon for over a year and he never had any gold. Recently though his head band is starting to turn glodish. Is this normal or did the LFS sell me a gold stripe on accident?

No idea. I have had one for a while, but to gold banding. Just a pain!!

My maroon is not too mean....Then again he's the only fish in the tank.LOL

Anyone else have an idea?

No some maroons have a white/off white stripe then some have gold.

Yeah this one is yellow/gold. Pretty bright, but not very thick in the middle of the white band.

Not very bright as in "Smart"? I have one of those, oh wait, I have a whole tank of "Not very bright" fish!!!

There are Maroon clowns and there are Gold Striped Maroons.

The GSM start with white then turn gold.

The regular Maroon clowns have white always and forever.

Cool. So I guess they accidentely sold me a gold stripe. Ok with me I think the gold stripe looks better anyway.LOL
