Do Color Temps affect color?

Hello all,
I've currently got a 125 with a few SPS type corals. My lighting consists of 2x400W 6500K iwasakis and 1x250W 10000K AB. I know that from an intensity standpoint, this should be fine for keeping clams, but I wonder if the 6500K color temp bulbs will cause a change in mantle color the way some corals change color with different lighting.
Can anyone comment on this?
Thanks

I bought a rather plain looking brown Squamy some time ago.

Under 220 watts of PC lighting, his mantle has gone from plain brown to vivid purple and blue.

Dunno what the lighting has to do with this, but it's amixture of 10K white and the actinic blues of the PC.

As far as I know, colour in clams is not greatly effected by light colour as it is in clams. I have noticed no change in colour of several coloured clams between 10000K and 6500K.
