Do Mantis eat their molts?

I've only seen my Mantis shed one time, but he's gotten much bigger since then.

The tank is only a 3 gallon so I doubt he's hiding the molts somewhere...do they eat them instead?

I'm pretty sure I read that they do and it helps them regain some lost calcium to rebuild up their exosekeletons..but um, I'm not -completely- sure..just pretty sure hehe

Mine actually burried his in his lair. I had to take it appart and found all kinds of molt bits burried in the sand under his lair.
