Do we have any winners from the MASNA Photo Contest

I was just wondering if anyone has heard from the MASNA officials as of yet on the winners of the Calendar Photo Contest? According to the rules the winners were to be notified within ten days of the conclusion of the judging, which surely would have been by now, as they are planning to distribute the calendars at MACNA VII. The calendars would have to be in print by now to have them ready for the September 22 conference.

Any winners out there?

I have been notified that I have won a position in the 2007 MASNA calendar .... yeaaaa!

In all fairness to the MASNA I'll not state which place was taken or which image got the honors, I'll let them have the honors of making the announcement. I will say that my image covers the scary month of October ... fits the image ... hehehe ...

MASNA regrets the wording of rules indicated that notification of the winners would take place within 10 days of the completion of judging....lessons learned on that one! We delayed notification until we agreed upon the final proof w/ our printer - on the outside shot that a chosen photo was rejected for any reason by the printer (file incompatibility, issues w/ clarity at the required printing size, etc..). It would have been unfortunate to misinform anyone of their winning status.

All winners have been sent an eMAIL at this point. We will announce the names and placement of the winners at the MACNA conference at the banquet Saturday, 9/23/06. Shortly after that, I'll post an announcement here in the Photography forum.

We are really pleased with the proof we've seen of the calendar and are especially pleased that more of you participated this year than last year in our photo contest. We are hoping even more of you take the chance and have some fun with it next year! :thumbsup:
