Does a skimmer remove copper?

I am in the beginning stages of treating my fish for ick. As I have been reading, I am heading for hypo treatment however I have found in the past that copper helps initially. I have a QT running with a bio-filter, rocks from my sump for bacteria and water directly from my tank that I am slowing changing out via water changes. However, I do have a small skimmer running on the QT -- will the skimmer remove the copper from the tank?

I know that skimmers will remove Cupramine copper, but I don't know about others. Your rocks will remove the copper. Also, copper and hypo are not a good combination as some coppers are more toxic at lower SG.

you need to heavy dose a big bag of carbon, it will take the remainder out
