i think the store is great but the prices are outrageous. anyone buy in bulk and get some nice discounts?

Everytime I go in there, they have a ton of saltwater fish. But, a very large percentage appear sickly. It is so bad, my 9 year old daughter won't go there anymore.

Maybe we just caught them at a bad time.....well, 3 bad times

yeah, i used to go there about once a week and they DO always have sick fish. on the lines of coral they have a good selection but i just dont understand how an experienced reefer would pay what they are asking.

A bad shipment can cause an outbreak, and will make all fish sick since mostly all LFS displays are linked together.

Pet Supreme had one they were battling it for over 3 weeks, but they overcame the sitution. Now they get fish all the time and are literaly sold the same day since he has developed a good rating.

They get shipment sin every Tuesday.

That used to be the only store I went to when I first started. You can negotiate prices with them, don't pay full price for any fish or coral.

I stopped going years ago, even before I moved to South OC. When I heard employees telling customers that Achilles Tangs are easy to keep, or that galaxy corals are simple, I shook my head and stopped going. Tong's is just a money making machine, they don't care about the livestock or if their customers are misinformed.
