Does dosing Kalk eliminate the need for a GFO?

I am considering dosing kalk via top off similar to the way Randy does it. This will be in conjunction with my Calcium reactor which has not been set up yet. I currently dose 2 part.

Does dosing Kalk eliminate the need for a GFO like Phosban/Rowapgos etc? I know it helps by percipitating it out but
do folks who dose kalk still use a GFO?

No. You can still have phosphate issues, even with passing all your RODI evaporation makeup water thru your kalk reactor.

Yes, many hobbyists who dose Kalk still use a phosphate removal media.
