Dowflake

I was in Pinch a Penny today (Wells Rd.) and saw that they have Dowflake if anyone is interested. I only saw the 50 lb. bag for $59.99.

I have some dowflake that I am no longer going to use. If someone wants some of it they can have it.

how much of a pain is it to mix these chemicals up?

Piece of cake.
Just follow the directions.
I didn't do the baking of the baking soda, so I just mixed up each ingredient in a one gallon milk jug.
Then dose as you would any other two part.

You can mix it, or just use it dry, like you would Kent Turbo Calcium. It's Calcium Chloride dihydrate (CaCl, with two H2O's). Kent Turbo Calcium is anhydrous Calcium Chloride, which is a bit more potent.

$59.99 isn't too bad for 50lbs, considering 1lb of Kent Turbo Calcium runs $10-$20.
