Downgrading my 55 gallon

Due to a move im currently having to make, I am having to downgrade my 55gallon tank down to a 30 hex. The only thing im not sure about is filtration. I will have plenty of liverock (30+ lbs). Do I need to do like a bio-wheel? A regular power filter? Or should I look into a good hang on skimmer. I have a ASM-G2 that I will not be able to use im sure.

No, you wont need a bio wheel or a power filter, the rock will be your actual filtration. But you should have some type of decent flow inthe new tank.
A skimer would definitly help out with water conditions.

Do you have any recomendations for a good hang-on skimmer?

look at the CSS 65 from coralife. Cheap and I hear they pretty good skimmers. If you want the best look at a deltec but that will cost you a cunck of change.
