dragons breath bleached

In my refugium, my chaeto and mangroves are growing nicely.

At the FFM, i bought some dragon's breath and put in the refugium. It has completely lost its red color and now is bleached out.

I have never had this before, is it too much light? Too little? Any ideas?

dragons breath is really more of a display tank macro . may just be getting smothered in refugium

I've had it in my sump kind of just thrown in there with other macros and it didn't do as well as it did in my display. It kept getting knocked around by my chaeto or blocked of light or what ever it was it just didn't like it. It can handle plenty of light so I wouldn't worry about that.

Mine is currently being blasted by 8 T5's so its good there, i would assume lack of light or being smothered by other macros.

Where do you folks get your macros? Especially red/blue ones?

I've found it difficult to find nice display type macros. Anywhere that sells them seems to sell out quickly and there aren't too many places that carries nice stuff. Everything I've got I've gotten from other reefers when they had it up for sale. You just have to keep an eye out and be quick.
