I have reading around about ppl getting new fish and corals and putting them on a drip. I was thinking of trying this out and was wondering how i could make one and how long would i need to hook a fish or coral up to this???

Thanks for your help in advance!!!!

get some airline tubing. tie a knot in it. put one end in yer tank. put the other end in yer new fish bag. put the bag on the floor or lower than yer tank and bam, there you go. it will start dripping. You can set yer drip rate fast or slow by loosening or tightening the knot. or if its still dripping too fast with a tight knot, tie another one.

Drip acclimation?

Run a length of regular airline tubing from your tank to a bucket containing your new livestock. I use a plastic tee valve on the end to control how fast it drips. Start a syphon, adjust tee valve, and voila! The only other thing you have to remember to do beforehand is mix a bit of water to replace what you took out for the acclimation.

Silicone airline tubing makes it easier to tie a knot in the line for drip contol if you happen to loose your tee valves. :)

I made two separate drip lines to acclimate snails and my black brittle star that I acquired over the weekend. I just used some standard air tubing and two clothespins. I bent the tubing and used the clothespin to pinch the end of the tubing back. You can adjust the drip rate, by sliding the clothespin back closer to the bend, or further away toward the end of the tubing.

Hey paintbug,

That sure is a fancy drip line. I didn't even know that product existed.

Love your signature, BTW
