I've been out there a couple times. Can't beat that weather. Way better than New England weather. But I guess I'd have to live out there to really judge.

I don't blame you for moving. If my life wasn't so tied to this area with my wife's job/family, I'd consider the move.

You'll have to update me in a year or so to see the good and bad things about it.

Here's some new ones (only had them a day so they're still settling in) -

Acclimatising on the sandbed at the moment, so they should open more and colour up better once they're up higher.

I just received mine from Serdar. It opened in twenty minutes, and looks awesome. I will get a pic tomorrow.

How much light are you giving these corals? I've got mine on the bottom of my 40 breeder with just 2 96 watt PC's, and it's been looking great and growing well.

Thanks

wow, ive got mine about 15" from 250w mh's! ive moved them around and seem to be happiest up high in the tank. thats cool to hear they do well at the bottum of a tank under pc's as well.

I've only had my frag since late Feb, 2006. It opens up really large. I was wondering if it's stretching up for more light or not.
This is the same tank I grow all my Echinophyllia, so I know the light is not low light. But not nearly as intense as some of my other tanks.

I've got 4x36Watt PCs and 1x30W NO, tank is 20" high. I've noticed that they seem to open more up higher but as you'll note I have less light than yours.
In anycase, they'll do really well pretty much any where as long as you feed them regularly.

I bought mine from Phishy biz a few months ago. but I did see ORA has gotten their hands on prop'n these bad boys. They had 4-6 colonies for sale at bay area frag farmers market months back
