Easter Eggs

In Memoriam
My clownfish's nest hatched Friday night, another lovely harvest of larvae.

For my Easter present, they laid another nest on Sunday. They filled up their usual rock, then the female flipped upside down and laid on the rock jutting out above their nest ; it is cavelike there. Their space is lined with tiny orange eggs!

Unfortunately, I can't harvest these guys as i will be out of town for important events in their lives, if they were to live. I still have not trained my kids to feed and culture the live foods, and my husband is uninterested, so better not to collect the larvae than to let them die of starvation.

Yup, I've had my own pair for 3 years, now.

Just started laying nests last month. Every 11 days since they started, they lay another one. All of a sudden, I need a bigger system. How do you guys do it when you have multiple pairs? I have already ALMOST fed my newly hatched clownfish bbs and my old ones, rotifers. Caught myself before a disaster happened.

There's a thread that starts O frabjous day, when they laid their first nest, and the "another use for knee highs" thread that talks about my larval snagger.

A grease pencil seems to be a useful tool for birthdate and marking the water line -- perhaps you need to write their lunch menu on the side, too. ;)
