I have had my tank up and running for about a year and a month now, and at first all I wanted was a FOWLR but someone just gave me a compact flourecent light strip putting out 85watts and now i have an itch for more. I know this isn't much...but is it enough for a few soft corals? I know i can have feather dusters, but i was looking for something a little more. The tank is a 46bow, and the live rock reaches up to about 6-8in from the water surface, so that is as close to the light as the corals could be placed without changing the rock work. any ideas?? by the way i have a firefish, neon goby, orchid dottyback and flame angel. Obviously, that is all the fish i plan on having

Lettuce Leathers are sturdy and easy to keep. As are Colt Corals and Kenya Trees. I woudd go fast growing ones considering you've got a Flame Angel that may decide to pick on your corals. It won't destroy them outright but it may peck. I'd stay away from many of the LPS corals because of that Angel. They might not handle the pecking well.

Common names can be confusing and often misleading...so to maybe help your search, some of the above mentioned leathers belong in the genuses:

Sarcophyton
Capnella
Sinularia
