eheim return pump

Just curious if anyone is using their eheim return pump outside of the sump? Any problems with leaking etc.? Please give me your experiences and opinions on doing this.

have used them on protien skimmers with no problem and on the big canisters.

I have 2 Eheim 1262 plumbed external to the sump and my Deltec skimmer has a Eheim plumbed outside, no problemo. I use flexible PVCs for return with my Eheims, that maintains optimal head loss, IMHO.

I use it as my return outside they are probably one of the most underrated pumps there is I love mine no problems quiet and efficient
