Hello everyone. I am looking to have acouple of dedicated circuits added for a tank that I will be setting up. I was wondering if any of you have had any experiences with electricians (licensed, bonded, and insured) in or around Mesa. Accounts of any experiences, good or bad, will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

He has a crew out in the East Valley now.
He's a good honest person.

He'll be working on my electrical board in the next week or so.

My 2 cents

I may call them too. I have to run a chiller with an extension cord from another room to avoid blowing the breaker. It's not too nice to have to see a cord laying across the floor everyday!

Every service you find on my home page is 100% guaranteed for your satisfaction or they would not be listed with us. I just thought I would throw that out there.

jpslicko- Thank you. I actually have been in touch with them already. I have gotten two different quotes from them, both of which seemed awfully high. I will try mentioning Elite Business Guide and see if that will get their prices into a more reasonable range. Thanks again.

I am still trying to determine that myself. No one I talk to wants to even give me a ballpark over the phone, they all want me to pay $50 for someone to come out and give me an estimate. We should try and get a group buy, lol. This evening I sent an e-mail to the company that jpslicko linked, so I am waiting to hear back from them.

I am also shopping to have a dedicated breaker installed for my tank. I found a few people that will give a free estimate. Let's keep each other posted if anyone finds a particulary good deal.

What a shame .In my trade we give free esimates all day . Thats what gets us our jobs.

I just got off the phone with Eavanson Electric. If you mention EBG they will give you contractor rates. As far as a Quote goes it would depend on if they have to run a dedicated line or if they can dedicate an existing circut. If they can dedicate an existing circut it is cheap. If they have to run a line it is not. From what I gathered it will cost in or around $600. That does not include the contractor rate. If I let him know who I am when I call I get treated different so I prentend to be having the work done myself. I can also guage their proffessionalism that way as well. They are great. Again make sure you mention EBG when you speak with them and let me know how it goes.

Doing what I can to help.

I have been getting quotes of between 534 and 750 dollars (for two 20 amp). I've got one more company coming out on Wed. and depending on how much they quote I might end up doing it myself. I went to Home Depot and priced out the materials at around $100.

Do you have a crawlspace/attic, any previous added circuts(if panel is already overloaded). Older home/Panel. Its easy to do if you have crawlspace, if not you have to go external with protection, how long a run(wire size). The codes are easy to understand if you are handy and have common sense. If you have no idea, by all means hire an electrician. Wire and breakers about $60, GFI recepts about $8 or get a GFI breaker, but a lot more money that way. About 2 hours crawling drilling and fishing

I have a guy coming over this weekend to quote a 20amp add on circuit for my reef tank. I guess he works for a large valley company but moonlights on the weekends. I will post once I found out the price. If I had a 1 story I would be doing it myself but drilling thru multiple trusses doesn't sound like fun.
