Hey Steve,
I was at Fish Pros yesterday and found out that you have anemones there being housed, very nice coloring on the big main one. Is it true that the original anemone was from the 70's?

Sorry I missed your post. Those aren't mine directly but could have came from me. I got the originals in the early 90's. I started reef keeping in the late 80's

So, what transpired after you discovered it was a counterfeit?

Nothing as I already had it set up. Elos offered to send me one but only with a small discount.

Steve - Sorry to hear about your situation. Have you tried contacting your credit company about the purchase? Not sure if they'd be able to do much, but wouldn't hurt to try.

I should have tried that but it was about 5 months after I had it when I found out.

What do you think of the tank's quality? I see that they are now being sold on Coralvue's website under the name AcquaSole, made by NGTank. Supposedly, they are made by the same manufacturer that WAS making the tanks for ELOS for many years until just recently.

Care to elaborate? Elos' stand is crappy -- no way I'd pay that kind of money for an MDF stand.

What do you not like about the tank itself, and, how did CoralVue handle things when you called (if you bought from them)?
