Emerald crab laying eggs

Most crabs carry their eggs until they hatch... Are emeralds an exception?

My emeralds used to carry the eggs and then release them into the water column. Free food for my fish.

Couldn't grab a pic phone wasn't on me first time I saw it actually happen eggs have been shooting out for a month an no idea what it was lol. She shot it into the current from my power head thought it was cool since I've only had them for a month or so.
