emperor 400 spray bar trouble

im having trouble getting my emperor 400 spray bars to work, the filter primes and runs but water does not come out of the spray bars, obviously ive checked for obstructions, assembling it wrong, etc etc etc, (not a newb) what do i need to do to get these damn things working?! TIA!

Have u noticed the little tab in the middle of the filters you want to make sure that it is in the up position for water to also be deverted to the spray bars, I drilled out the holes in the spray bars to keep them from getting clog up, and it made it alittle more quiter for running them cause I have to emporer 400's on my tank,

Question:

Do you use the bio-wheels ? someone told me that I should take them off because they will cause your nitrate levels to go up ???

If there's absolutely no water coming out of the spray bars, it sounds like you're missing the cap / diverter that goes under the impeller. I misplaced that cap once after tearing down one of mine, and had the same problem. Luckily, I was able to find mine. Replacements are available online if you cannot find one locally.
