Epoxy makes skimmer go into overdrive

I just epoxied in a coral and needed lots of epoxy to make a sloping base of LR flat.
Soon after this my protein skimmer overflowed and has been putting out lots more microbubbles into the tank.
I was told by the skimmer tech support that epoxy is known to do this and it will settle down in a couple of days.
I have used epoxy many times but never this much.
It is getting better after 2 days now.

Ever hear of this?
Thanks

I see it's been a long time since this post, but this is happening to me right now.

I used a lot more epoxy than usual to hold my newly arranged rocks in position, and my skimmer has gone crazy. Guess my water will be a little cleaner.

This is normal. There are chemicals in the epoxy that lower the surface tension of the water, and this affects skimmate production. It'll go away once the organics are removed. The same thing will happen when you put your hand in the water, but to a lesser extent.
