eshopps H/O protein skimmer

decent from what I hear, but I do not have personal experience. I might be looking into buying one down the road though. I would go with the one that is one size up and only $10 bucks more.

Poorcollegereef,

Can you say here or by PM who your source is?

>update<

I e-mailed a website earlier this afternoon that carried the product. And basically all the tech support said was that it's a generic pump designed for their skimmer. I wonder why the manufacturer is so hush hush about it. Does the pump suck that much.

A friend from undergrad bought it for his tank, I haven't really spoken to him in a while. As far as the pump, I am aware of the issues of it failing... but I don't have many stories about it so it may be a bad sample.

also, I am aware of this "test" between skimmers at nano-reef

oh, and I want to say that Eshopps have run Resuns (which have their issues) in the past but don't quote me on that.

Poorcollegereef,

I believe your right on the pump being a resun. I appreciate the link and info.

yup, lameass king/resun/gen x pumps...
loud, they overheat, and generally make an all around sucky skimmer pump....
cheap as dirt though, that's why they use them...
