euphillia swollen

frogspawn, torch, branching hammers. they are pinched towards the base of the polyps and very bulbous but the actual colored tip is the right size, just the middle of the plyp is swollen big time

yes all of them,I recently switched to halides but they were like this before hand, the tank is about 8 months old the halides are 18" off the tank(2x250w) before it had 260 watt pc abou 4" off the tank

change in lighting could do it. 18" off water surface is ALOT in my expirence, even for 250s. Are you planning to slowly adjust them lower and lower so that you dont bleach out your corals?? I know most keep their MH about 8"-12" off the water.

Can you take a pic? being inflated isnt a bad thing infact mostly all of my euphylia are inflated and puffy --its the kind of corals it is. if its dull and colorless then you have lighting issues. Its soooo difficult to tell you whats wrong without a picture. Post a pic and tank levels and alittle history then maybe we can give more. otherwise, we're all just guessing in the dark.

I really wish I could post pics but my camera is outta wack,I have been really carefu about lighting adjustment as I have been afraid about bleaching. I run my halides only 8hrs per day. I have also noticed that when they get super swollen the polyp will fall off and float around the tank. The polyp is small at the bottom, fat in the middle ant regular size at the tip
