Euroreef after water changes

My Euroreef never works for several days after water changes. It's like it doesn't make bubbles correctly. Normal?

for several days, no, definitely not normal. several hours would be fine, but days is absolutely unacceptable.

That is not normal IMO. I have a Euroreef model previously known as the CS 6-1 and it stops skimming for an hour or 2 after a water change and cleaning of the skimmer neck, cup and body. It then resumes making foam. I do skim a bit wet though and have the riser tube very high. A couple of days is excessive and I think something is not right.

It also depends of course on how clean your water is. If you've changed enough water, it might take awhile before it's dirty enough to start making foam again.

I recently added the gate valve modification to my Euroreef CS 6-1, and it seems to be much more efficient as well as easier to adjust.

Yes, I have the gatevalve mod too.

I'll contact Euroreef again. I've not upgraded to the new pump from Euroreef and done the gatevalve and my 8-2 still is a very lackluster performer.
