Euroreef BLEMs

Hi all,

I was looking into getting a Euroreef BLEM skimmer. Does anyone out there run one? How does it run? Any problems with it? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have a blem CS6-1.

I dont understand why anyone buys new ones....the blems are such a bargain.

I think Euroreef guarantees that they are 100% functionnal too
:p

The only place mine was blemmished was at the base of the skimmer. The platic bottom was badly glued to the acrylic tube. It doesnt leak or anything the seam just isnt perfect....

I'd buy another blem in a heartbeat...

BLEMS ARE WORTH IT!!!

BLEMS ARE WORTH IT!!!

I have to agree that the blems are worth every penny, i just purchased two es-6's and they are working flawlessly. The blems are what a brand new one should cost and all of us @ reefcentral would be a lot happier and have more MONEY!!!

:smokin:

Where do you get the blems?? I wish I would have thought about it. Who really cares if a skimmer has a bad glue job? Just as long as it doesnt leak... And of course its 100% functional

My RS5-24 came as a CS body and collection cup, but with an RS bottom plate, an ES lid, and a gen-x 2400 pump... $162 plus shipping.

scotty,

did everything fit together correctly? have you set it up yet? how's it working for you?

I just received my ES5-3 today, but i noticed that there wasn't any threading on top of the neck of the skimmer, but there is threading on the bottom of the collection cup. Is there normal? And also how far in should i have the inlet pipe in? This is the piece that is on top of the skimmer. Hopefully someone can understand what i'm saying.

i know exactly what you are saying. i just got mine and wondered the same thing. a buddy has the one that is threaded. its actually a quick disconnect. make sure you put the little red o ring on and it will fit together tightly.

Hey Newnano, did you check the inlet pipe piece? I shaved the black rubber piece so the pipe will be able to be inserted further into the skimmer of the body. I have it about half way. Do you think that is correct? Originally I was not able to insert the pipe at all. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks

i know what you are talking about. mine is tough to get in there as well. i doubt that it could hurt. but you can always pull it back and use some teflon tape to tighten it up if you find that its not working well

I got it from H2otropicals also. Everything fits fine... the parts themselves are all pretty much exactly the same between lines... RS,ES,CS... just different quality acrylic and joints. The gen-x pumps IME are rather noisy but it is currently skimming very well.

newnano, try it out and let me know if it works. I won't be able to setup my skimmer til monday. I just got it in today from h20 and hope that it works (Cross my fingers).
