Favorite Monti......

This is one of my newer favs. The polyps are literally baby blue (in the pic it looks darker), more so than any blue polped montis I've seen so far.

Richard- Got any updates on the wildfire with that new camera setup of yours :)

Mark, I can tell you that the Wildfire hasn't missed a step in terms of keeping it's colors since the day I got it. Although it has hit a wall in terms of growth recently. Please include some CGH in my next package.

I know, I got a piece at BAYMAC. The urchin took it for a ride, but I found it a day later, It looks better than ever. The green just glows now.

What does it matter, its better than the both of them. Idk if people notice but is it me or does it have a orange colour polyp core and a yellow outer? THATS INSANE.

Thanks! Most of my pics are with a crappy 4MP Nikon, taken top-down. I couldn't take a good pic through glass to save my life.

Where's your monti from?
Came from Australia (95% sure) was labeled on the invoice as a chalice. Its really bright like yours.

Anybody know the name of the encrusting monti that has a chocolat brown base and neon green polyps ?

That is most likely a montipora hispida.

bingo... one of my other favorites in my tank, especially since mine has so much history behind it and has survived many maladies in my tank including nudis... in the 2+ years ive had it, i have yet to get a decent picture though... those polyps just GLOW and mess up the exposure everytime :D

fwiw... i always thought it was hispida but it could be hispidia as well

I had one of those as well.
Its definitely not the orenji; sorry :( Its a nice piece, but its about half as bright as the original and the structure is a bit different as well. I ended up trading a local reefer as it was not quite the real deal.
