Feeding Orange Spotted Goby!

I have read a few post in the past by people worried about the possibility of their sand sifting goby starving to death. I have had an orange spotted goby about 1mo and am amazed at the amount of sand he moves around. I also worried about him finding enough food. I have started hand feeding him. I either chop up raw table shrimp or scallops into small bits mix with a small amt of tank water and draw this up into a 60cc long tip syringe. He always goes back into his hole under the rock when I stick my hand into the tank and peeks out. I gently squirt the food into his home and he gobbles it up! Just be sure not to overfeed. HTH :)

my orange spot has never sifted, I do shoot his food down with a turkey baster, he eats in private, when others arent watching.

I've had a few of them all different in the way they eat. I currently am on my 3rd day with one ( just added him!) And this one dips into his hole as soon as the lights switch to actinics, and I spot fed him Rods food tonight, and mine ate in private. I had one that NEVER took prepared, he jumped and I lost him :( my first diamond goby ate just as aggressively as the rest of my fish, and came up to the middle and top of the tank to compete for food lol. You never know what your going to get in this hobby..that's why I love it :)
